Nine brand new maps
- Coop and DM modes available
- SkullTag - Invasion mode (Demo)
- New weapons
- Smarter monsters
- New visual effects
- High-def textures
- Action
- Suspense
- Doom!
-
Fixed -
Players who don't have Brightmaps feature available will find it
harder to play and will lose most part of the visuals. A bug on
the GZDoom renderer made it impossible to use the flag 'DisableFullBright',
an appeal I had used to help the ones unprovided of decent video
cards. lol
Since now I'd like to apologize and to promise an update as soon
as this bug gets fixed by Mr. Graf!
-
DeathMatch mode isn't recommended on Skulltag until the use of 3D
Floors is made available in competitive modes. The maps were made
based on GZDoom and we didn't account for this weird ridiculous
and "nonsense" limitation.
-
The Hell Invasion episode exclusive to Skulltag has only one demo
map made to see how LOS would make out in this game mode.
-
Fixed - "Lost"
textures in 2 doors from Map08.
-
Fixed - LChaingun
Radius Quake which affected other players on Multiplayer mode.
-
Fixed - Some little
unaligned textures at Map09.
-
Fixed - On multiplayer,
it wasn't possible to run if health went lower than 20 and the player
wasn't cured by Med kits.
-
Fixed - Throttled
heal works perfectly on MultiPlayer.
-
Fixed - The "10
secrets" at Map08.
-
Fixed - Forgotten
exit on Map06. Thanks Rocks, that was nuts! ^^'
-
Removed - Ghost Busters
logo removed along with GZDoom logo, by Graf Zahl's own request.
-
Added - Message "strafe
to change" at the intro by request.
-

cutscenes are now skippable too.

"My oh my i've played some good wads of different varieties
in my short time around ST but let me tell you, Legacy has
pretty much gone to the top of the list without ANY contenders.
I know this gets tossed around alot due to stupid *chan culture
taking over the internet, but what i'm about to type should
be interpreted in a literal context, this, is an EPIC work!
From the time i unzip'd and shoved the st_patch in my skins
folder (i was supossed to unzip and add it to my skins folder,
right?) to the twenty times i got killed by chaingunners and
sargeants i had JUST seen rotting on the ground, i couldn't
beleive someone took the time and care to do all of this,
and with such outstanding quality too!
Logan, you and your BrDoom crew should be REALLY proud of
yourselves, congratulations on making something that would
make the iD staff want to hire you.

"This has one thing which I love in a single/coop WAD,
and that is DIFFICULTY. I'm going to be playing this for
a while. It's like another Hell Reviled 2 or Ultimate Torment
& Torture, this should go in the Skulltag Hall of Fame
if there is one. The thing I like about this beside how
challenging it is, is the use of the monsters. I'm seeing
New versions of the Shotgun Guy and Chaingun Guy, the Imp
looks more terrifying, the new sounds for the Lost Soul
are very good. GZDoom effects are used very good, gives
it a nice feel to the game.
Now
the weapons are amazing, epically the Cannonshotgun, I've
seen a lot of Quadshotguns for ZDoom but none good as this.
All the other weapons have good feel to them, making you want
to try them all out and keep using them. The story is really
good as well. I only made to level two (I keep dieing) but
I remember reading something about there being more then one
Super Solider other than John Logan who you play as, I would
love to see you get more into the story and see the rest of
the Super Soldiers.
I
can go on and on about this WAD, but overall its the best
so far that's out."

"LOS rocks..."

"BEST fraking WAD EVER End of story.
Too bad it were only 10
levels. This REALLY gave me a feeling I was playing Doom 4
instead of skulltag. AWESOME. I jumped from my chair everytime
I saw the damn hell thing on my screen. Man, that was scary...
Good fraking work. I salute
you, sir.
I forgot to tell this,
but sometimes I really had to edit the demon's faces with
the chainsaw..."

"I had the chance and the honour to test this wad during
its development, and I must say, it's a top level Doom mod!
It has a new gameplay which is totally different from Doom's
standards, and very chalenging, something like Plutonia's
level of difficulty. The Doom 3 feeling is very well done
here, exploring the new features from GZDoom (Doom just doesn't
look more like Doom nowadays hehe!). The weapons are very
different, but it is well balanced with the gameplay difficulty.
This is definetively one of the best wads of this year, and
probably from Doom Modding history.
KICK
ASS!!!!"

"All in all, just like the beta, this is an absolutely
cracking piece of work and I love the stuff you've added since
the version that I saw - all the polish and stuff that lifts
it even further above the bar. I personally still find the
"swarms and swarms" gameplay style not quite to
my taste but it is just an issue of taste, it is not a bad
feature and many people clearly love it. The flashing pentagram
is still a bit too frequent for my liking as well. Usually
I don't like unskippable cutscenes and, clearly, other people
want them to be skippable but, in the case of LOS, to me they
feel integral to the game and I haven't wanted to skip a single
one - even on replay - (and, unlike others, I think the momentary
flash of white during the scenes works really well).
Anyway,
the bottom line is that this is an absolute Rolls Royce* of
a project project. One of the best, most complete and most
immersive project to have been made IMO and it really does
a whole load to capture what Doom is about and updates it
for a modern audience. Well done to you and the team."

"I will be honest here.
It's
quite obvious a lot of hard work and dedication went into
making this mod, and it does indeed deserve a cacoward nomination.
I definitely look forward to seeing more from you."

"This needs a Cacoward nomination."
